Our CSA boxes are made up of 7 farm pick vegetables each week, delivered to your door and cost $40 each.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA is a worldwide agricultural movement of direct to consumer growing.

CSA is an experimental farming methodology pioneered by Booker T. Whatley in Alabama during the 1970’s. Whatley encouraged farmers to grow a diversity of crops for a Clientele Membership Club.
Booker T. Whatley was a horticulturist, professor and Civil Rights advocate. He championed smaller, smarter farms owned and operated by Black farmers.
There are many forms of CSA, and it is unlikely any two will ever be exactly the same. -
Broom and Brine operates a CSA Subscription Membership. Our members pay weekly, there is no lock in period and we offer pausing when folks go away camping or head off interstate.
Broom and Brine have about 65 members on our books and we can easily ride fluctuations in members pausing their boxes. Our CSA creates very even demand across the year, we find everything evens out in the wash. We are really proud to offer this pausing service.
